High Def DVD News

Hey gang,

Hi def DVD is in the news and we wanted you to be the first to hear about it. Check it out:

#1 - Target Leans Toward Blu-ray

Looks like another win for the Blu-ray camp. Target stores have decided to devote twice the amount of display space to Blu-ray than to HD DVD in some or all of its stores. When they first started selling both formats their shelves held equal product.

And while we are on the subject, October 07 will find Target selling Sony's $499 Blue-ray player as its only HD player.

It is thought that, with Target only selling small numbers of HD discs, they are still testing the waters.

#2 - Warner Stays "Comfortable" In The Middle

Reports say that Warner Home Video has been offered some pretty tempting deals to become an exclusive HD DVD provider but, at least for now, Warner is happy offering both formats. The holidays will find Warner releasing all four Harry Potter films on high-def discs.

There you have it folks........the high def battle continues!
