In this edition of the DVD Weekly Podcast we say goodbye to the HD DVD format. The end is officially here.

Well I must be stubborn, bought myself a second HD DVD player the other day and scouring ebay for movie bargains:)
Strange as it seems HD DVD movies on the UK ebay site are still being sold for pretty much what Amazon US are selling the majority for, we have yet to see any price crash on media:(
I have noticed even retail has not dropped their prices as of yet. I was at Walmart this past weekend and all HD DVD machines and movies were the regular price. But I did notice that they are now carrying Blu-Ray machines. Expect HD DVD hardware and software prices to drop at retail very soon though!
